Milford Man Shoots Naked Home Invasion Suspect

Gerald Mirto, of 66 Point Lookout, heard noises from the rear yard. He looked out a second story window and saw a man's head near the slider door.

Mirto went downstairs and saw that the screen window was broken and a suspect was standing outside.

The suspect was not wearing any clothing and Mirto yelled at the suspect to leave.

The suspect bit the homeowner on the arm several times and punched him on the right side of his head.

Mirto pushed the suspect out of the house, went upstairs, retrieved his gun, called 9-1-1, and saw that the suspect had entered his home.

The suspect rushed Mirto. Mirto fired one shot, striking the suspect in the chest.

Milford Teen Reported Missing & Later Found

Milford police are asking for the public's help in finding a 15-year-old male who went missing at 8 p.m. last night.

Milford Attorney Charged with Embezzlement

Local attorney Michael Hayes has been charged with two counts of first degree embezzlement Embezzlement and released on a $10,000 bond. 

Attorney Hayes, age 53 of 119 Coram Lane in Orange, is accused of embezzling money from clients.  

Milford Hotel Scene of Prostitution Arrest

A report of suspicious activity in a Milford hotel room led to the arrest April 4 of a man and woman for allegedly engaging in sexual activities in exchange for money. The incident reportedly took place at about 2:30 p.m. that day, at 1052 Boston Post Road in Milford.

Milford Police Help Arrest Man for Computer Sex Crimes

A Milford detective posing as an underage child was instrumental in the arrest this week of a Plainville man in an undercover Internet sting operation for allegedly attempting to lure a minor child into sexual activity.
