Woman Arrested for Shoplifting at Milford Mall

Police say woman was previously arrested in Milford on similar charges.

A Bridgeport woman was arrested Sunday for allegedly stealing $211 worth of merchandise from the JCPenney store at the Westfield Connecticut Post Mall.

Elizabeth Fernandez, 40, faces charges of sixth-degree larceny, two counts of second-degree failure to appear and violation of probation.

Police said Fernandez had three outstanding warrants for her arrest, two of which for failure to appear in court for charges related to larceny arrests in Milford in July 2013.

The Bridgeport woman was held in lieu of $26,500 bond.
