Cracking up...If "access to the Milford Center area will be restricted from the hours of 9:30 am to 6:30 pm," then I guess people can't attend the festival. How about some suggestions for where to park?

For those that are new to our Milford Oyster Festival. The Milford Oyster Festival web sight under Festival Info has a page on Festival Parking and Transportation page. Here is a link to that page. http://www.milfordoysterfestival.com/index.php/festival-info/parking-a-transportation

Hi Diana, thanks for providing that link! I've added additional parking/shuttle/restriction info provided by Milford Police to the story above.

The Oyster Festival is a great event that Milfordites, amongst others, should be proud of and appreciate. So what if there are restrictions, it's on a summer day (hopefully clear and sunny) and perfect to got for a stroll...If you are too lazy to do it, I suggest you simply stay home, feel sorry for yourself, and go on the web and live vicarously thru Facebook and the Patch.

I love the oyster festival, and go almost every year. I wish that they would extend it past 6pm, or even do something like Norwalk does (a multi day event), I know that there is a mini oyster festival on Friday night before the festival, but that is poorly advertised. Remember to support the local businesses as most are open the day of, anything from lunch, soda, and cool nick nacks.
