Three People Injured in Milford Stabbing Incident

One Milford man charged in stabbing

A 21-year-old Milford man is in custody after three people were injured in an altercation outside a Lafayette Street home early Tuesday morning.

The incident, which remains under investigation, left a 50-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries after he was reportedly stabbed, police said in a release Tuesday. 

Police also said a 20-year-old female suffered a hand laceration and a 21-year-old male also received minor injuries.

Police charged Gustave Meyers, 21, of 31 Lafayette St., for his alleged involvement in the altercation. Police did not specify what Meyers is alleged to have done, though he was charged with first-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Police said they were called to 31 Lafayette St. at 1:29 a.m. on June 3. Jeffrey Nielsen, the Milford Police spokesman, said in a release that the department received several 911 calls regarding a disturbance in front of the residence.

Police said all three people injured are known to each other. Meyers is being held on $25,000 bond.
