Three Milford Residents Charged in Lafayette Street Stabbing Incident

Milford man sustained injuries in the stabbing incident.

Three people have now been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident that happened in the early morning hours on June 3 at 31 Lafayette Street, police said. 

On June 3, Milford police charged Gustave Meyers, 21, of 31 Lafayette Street, who is accused of stabbing Michael Meahan, 49, of 35 Wiley Avenue. 

Meahan suffered two non-life threatening stab wounds, police said.

Meyers was charged with first-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. He was originally held on $25,000 bond. 

Then this week Milford police announced two more arrests in connection with the Lafayette Street incident.

Melissa Meahan, 20, of 35 Wiley Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct as she is accused of being involved in an earlier altercation that occurred between her and her companion, police said in a release. She was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford June 20. 

Michael Meahan, 49, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, and is accused of engaging in a physical altercation with Meyers, and during that altercation Michael Meahan was allegedly stabbed by Meyers, police said. 

He was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on July 15.
