In a joint statement, the Greenwich, Darien, Fairfield and Stratford police departments said Thursday, "Law Enforcement believe that (two) suspects are involved in the incidents."

"We believe they are part of an organized group operating within Fairfield County and likely Westchester County and possibly New Jersey ... any place with a high-end country club," said Greenwich police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray.

One incident involved the theft of a watch and credit card from a vehicle at the Fairview Country Club on King Street in Greenwich, according to Gray. The victim reported the theft thus preventing the thieves from using the credit card a short time later, Gray said. He did not have specific information on thefts from other towns.

One suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male with a Hispanic accent, heavy build (shown in photo). The second suspect, is described as a white or Hispanic male with a medium build, and was seen wearing sunglasses and an orange golf shirt, according to the statement.

It is believed that the suspects are driving a white Nissan Maxima or Altima with a Texas license plate.

It is also believed that the first suspect (the pictured) may be entering the clubhouse in an attempt to find unsecured lockers. When approached by country club staff that suspect indicates that he is a guest but cannot provide the name of the member, according to police.

"Right now, we're doing public outreach—there may be unreported thefts or someone may have seen them," Gray said. Anyone observing the suspects or vehicle are asked to contact their local police department, Gray added.

Police recommend that valuables including wallets, purses, jewelry and electronic devices should be secured either in locked lockers within the clubhouse or within the trunk of the vehicle.

If your vehicle does not have a concealed trunk area, it is recommended that valuables are not stored in plain view. Police strongly recommend that unattended and unoccupied vehicles be locked.
