String of Thefts from Motor Vehicles in Milford

A crime advisory message was sent through the “Milford Alerts” system, advising residents and encouraging them to report suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.

Milford Police are investigating several thefts from motor vehicles in the area of Gulf Street extending from New Haven Avenue and Dock Road.

Police obtained the above pictures of two male suspects in a theft from a motor vehicle on Dock Road in September 2012.

A wallet containing two credit cards was taken from an unlocked vehicle resulting in one of the credit cards being used to make fraudulent purchases at local businesses in the area.

A crime advisory message was sent through the “Milford Alerts” system, advising residents of the incidents and encouraging them to report suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.

Residents and businesses not registered with the citywide notification system can register by visiting www.milfordpd.org and click on the “Milford Alerts” banner.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of these two males is asked to contact Detective Nash at (203) 783-4730 or visit our website at www.milfordpd.org and click on “Crime Tips”

We've had a rash of them on Beaverbrook and the Benneville area as well

We had someone try to break into a neighbor's house in Pond Point/Woodmont area. That's in addition to the home invasion where the intruder was shot just up the road. I hope there is more of a focus now on anti-theft, burglary, etc. I see lots of ongoing narcotic investigations reported, meanwhile, people are stealing things left and right, both residential and commercial crimes. There needs to be more random patrols, at all hours of the day and particularly at night, all over Milford.

More patrols are needed. I live in the Bayview area and I barely see any cops.
