Resident Warns Of Recently Arrested Handyman

Trumbull police arrest a home improvement contractor who reportedly works in Orange /Milford area.

Trumbull handyman Kenneth Nixon, 32, of Old Hollow Road, was arrested by Trumbull Police based on a warrant from the state's Consumer Protection Division.

Nixon, of T.H.E. Construction Company was charged by the Trumbull Building Department with failing to pull permits on one job in Trumbull.

He also has a pending small claims suit filed against him by a Trumbull customer and reportedly is accused of working without a license, although the T.H.E website states, "We are licensed in both CT & Westchester County, NY."

A quick search of the state Consumer Protection website showed that Nixon is licensed for home improvement, but not for new home construction.

A local resident warned that Nixon damaged her home and did not complete the work for which he was contracted.

Linda Rice Finally!!! Ken will get his day in court. How horrible he has treated you... he should never be in business. I pray he has to repay you for every cent you gave him. What a hateful person he is to even suggest that Robbie death is questionable. When he faces God that will be his true punishment! Linda Rice Rices50@comcast.net Linda Rice

Vicki Blackwell How can the court system not enforce justice to protect innocent people from businesses or individuals like Kenneth Nixon who prey on them by taking their money for work that is sub-par! Please show these businesses/individuals that they will not be tolerated in society!! Thank you!! Vicki Blackwell

Marie, I am so happy for you that this man has been found out about and arrested. So many people are taken by people like this and never get a chance to recover what was done to them. I pray he will have to pay big time for this and what he has put you and your family thur. What upsets me is what he said about your loss of your son Rob. How dare him to question something like the loss of a child. He will answer someday for this to a higher court then what we have here. I am just so happy this has happened. Love and prayers to you my friend. Carol

Christina Rua Rubano At least justice will be served. You can tell what type of a character he is to have said all those horrible things about your family, Marie! I wouldn't worry much because you know what they say " what comes around goes around" and when he does this again and again, small businesses are built on word of mouth and I think he will have to find a new profession SOON! this is a lesson for all -Christina Rua Rubano
