Police Commissioner Meets Police

Relations have been frosty between the East Haven Police Department and the Police Commission, which is run by civillians. The in a whole new direction. The vice chairman of the commission was arrested for allegedly threatening a teen at the high school while on duty as a security guard. Prior to the arrest, the commission and the department have been fighting legal battles. 

Facebook Status: 'Arrested'

A pair of Bridgeport teens in Stratford wanted to keep their Facebook friends up to date on their arrest. After being arrested on car theft charges, the two teens joked with officers that they'd like to They also said they'd like the police's arrest video to go on YouTube. It's unlikely that they got their wish, and bail ranged between $7,500-$10,000 for the suspects.

Retired Officer Accused of Drunken, Reckless Shooting

A retired New Haven police officer was arrested for allegedly almost shooting an Old Saybrook neighbor doing the dishes. The man was reportedly drunk when the gun accidentally went off.  According to the New Haven Register, the man just received the firearm back after having it confiscated because of a unspecified "domestic incident." 

Man Arrested 80th Time

Talk about a long rap sheet. A Bristol man was arrested for the 80th time, Bristol police told WTNH. The 52-year-old man was most recently arrested for allegedly breaking into an American Legion Hall. 

Littering Doesn't Pay

A Bronx woman visiting Stratford was after reportedly tossing "an empty plastic yogurt or baby formula container" on the ground outside a gas station.
