Parking Lot Quarrel Nets Two in Milford

Out-of-towners arrested for alleged late-night disturbance.

Police early Friday arrested two people for an alleged disturbance in the parking lot of AMF Milford Lanes on the Boston Post Road.

Leanie Hayes, 21, of Ford Street in Ansonia, faces charges of third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Shanell Morrison, 21, of Judson Avenue in New Haven, was charged with second-degree breach of peace.

Hayes is accused of striking Morrison in the face with a bottle and kicking her while she was on the ground. Morrison suffered minor injuries, police said.

Police were called to 1717 Boston Post Road about 1:25 a.m. Friday. Both suspects were released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 18.
