The Case: George Lindinger, 47, of 103 Hickory Dr., Coventry was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, possession of a dangerous instrument and second-degree threatening, according to police.
The OMG PD Twist: While working after last week's blizzard, Lindinger, a plow truck driver, had stopped in the Tri-City Plaza parking lot in Vernon with a co-worker when the two began arguing about getting gasoline for their trucks, police said.

The Case: Edwin Velez III, 33, of 368 Pine Rock Ave. in Hamden was charged with driving while intoxicated and risk of injury to a minor, while his wife, April Cassidy Velez, 32, was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to police.
The OMG PD Twist: Police report that Edwin Velez was driving with his wife and child while his blood alcohol level was three times over the legal limit. He was arrested at his home after officers found his car unoccupied, running up against a snow bank, according to police.
April Velez then drove down to the police station to get her husband, police said. She parked a pickup truck in a "police vehicle only" space, and the car had empty beer bottles and wine bottle in it, as well as a six-pack in the truck bed, police report.
The Case: James S. Bankowski, 56, of George Street in Middletown was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment charges, according to police.
The OMG PD Twist: Bankowski after one of them reportedly pushed a pile of snow near Bankowski's home, police said.
According to the police report, Bankowski said to a landscaping employee "tell that guy to put the snow on his property, or I'm going to blow him up." Bankowski later told police that he did not intend to actually shoot anyone, but was trying to make a point, police said.
