[UPDATED) No One Injured in Metro-North Train, SUV Collision in Milford

The driver of the vehicle was issued a ticket by Milford Police for driving too fast for conditions.

The driver of the vehicle — which sustained significant front end damage — was issued a ticket by Milford Police for driving too fast for conditions, the New Haven Register reports.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

A Metro-North commuter train out of Waterbury struck an SUV at the Oronoque Road crossing in Milford early Friday afternoon.

The MTA stated that there were no reported injuries to any of the train's passengers or to the vehicle's occupants, according to a WTNH report.

The incident occurred just before 1 p.m.

The New Haven Register reports an MTA spokesperson said the train that hit the vehicle was running again shortly after 2 p.m.
