Largest workers' compensation award in Connecticut's history

A then 18-year-old undocumented teenager, Estuardo Ceballos, was working on a Milford house in 2007 when he fell 18-feet from a ladder, which led to him crush his spine and becoming a quadriplegic.

Ceballos made history by receiving the largest workers’ compensation decision in the state’s history at $4.5 million, the Connecticut Post reports.

In 2007, Ceballos was working on an 18 Bianca Drive house in Milford for Erick Construction Co. in Stratford when he fell from the ladder, the Post reports, adding that the ladder had visible defects.
