This is the most rediculous thing I have ever seen or heard! Mrs Pierpont is a well respected, stand up citizen and mother..... She does not deserve to have her name ripped apart so lets keep this in mind when reading this article..... None of this happened.... Its all a big lie!!!

Really?!!! Couldn't this have been better handled by just saying "don't scratch your husband, mam" and moving on to some more valuable police work?

Let's not blame the cops for what the Pierponts engineered all by themselves. If hubby, stupidly or otherwise, accused wifey of assaulting him, what real choice do the police have? It's the job of the courts to sort this silly stuff out, not the cop who indeed would rather be moving on to some more valuable police work.

I don't know all the details surrounding this specific incident, but these are good and decent people who I've know for years. Being a web publication has unfortunately opened the door to some galactical morons who feel complelled to post garbage responses to this unfortunate story.

He sounds like a girly man to me or a scumbag that doesn't want to pay child support!

The Dbag should cut his finger nails and grab his head with both hands and pull it out of his a** and go back to the bottom dwellers.

Poca, a point for you and John Smith (how long have you two been going together?), the wife scratched the husband, not the other way around. So now is wifey due the same judgment you leveled against hubby? I mean, c'mon, this is just a domestic dispute that has no real place in the news.

Never heard of "galactical morons" before. What are they?

Cant be as bad as 3 officers working day and night for 4 months to stand in the road while a construction crew of 20+ stand around a 5 foot hole while one or two guys connect a pipeline. Must be a massive budget there.
jungis4545 July 13, 2012 at 10:35 AM
tjc, those cops you refer to are not paid from Milford's budget. Rather, it's overtime paid for by the contractors who are digging in the street.

I know that, either way something stinks, most likely someones is getting a kickback, there is no way they needed all that coverage, anyone that drove by there everyday can tell you that.

The Internet is quite a powerful tool which has provided humankind with two things. 1: Becoming a medium in sharing information globally. 2: The unfortunate discovery of an unevolved human beings who are incapable of rational thought or communication skills, but who are surprisingly capable of estabiishing online user accounts .

Oh my, this happened to me as well. My fiance and I were involved in an argument. He pushed me. I grabbed hold of his shirt to avoid loosing my balance. Two hours later (yes, two hours) he decides to call the police and to my shock and surprise the female officer arrested me for "assault on a family member". Apparently my nail had scratched his chest. I was locked up, confused as to HOW this was possible. The officer never read me my rights. I am a mother of two, never in any legal difficulties until now. I face up to 12 months in jail, and fine up to $2,500. Police never saw the so called injury, it literally was a scratch so tiny and superficial. This is a nightmare!
