UPDATE: Two in Custody for Milford Bank Robbery

Both suspects are from Bridgeport and charges are pending.

The manager of the Wells Fargo Bank in Milford confirmed Tuesday that the bank was robbed this morning and that the investigation is ongoing.

Initial scanner reports indicated that two black males entered the business at 215 Cherry St. shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspects took an unknown amount of cash and fled in a grey SUV, according to the reports. One of the suspects was reported to have been taken into custody in Stratford, apparently in the area of Columbus Avenue.

It's unknown if a weapon was used in the incident though reports indicated a weapon was recovered in Stratford.

There have been no reported injuries.

Milford and Stratford police were not available for comment. We'll update this article as new information becomes available.
