A 19-year-old Milford man was among four people arrested Saturday in Milford where police there said they found more than four ounces of marijuana in a local motel.

Reynaldo Cannales was charged with possession of marijuana (more than four ounces), conspiracy to possess marijuana (more than four ounces), possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to sell.

The alleged incident occurred at the Howard Johnson Hotel at 1052 Boston Post Road, police said.

Israel Martins, 19, of Stratford and two juveniles ages 16 and 17 from Milford, also were arrested on the same charges as Cannales.

The Milford teen and Martins were both released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 17. Juvenile summons were issued for the 16- and 17-year-old youths.

Arrest information supplied by the Milford Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Why aren't they tearing down that s*******e motel? Seems to be nothing but a spot for dirtbags.

If you've been paying attention you'd know that they have torn down the old building and are in the process of building a new one. It's great that a corporation is making an investment in the city. As far as the drugs, that happens everywhere. No need to defame the business.

I am beginning to think it's may be time to re-think arresting people for Pot.
tlkensington December 04, 2013 at 12:34 PM
I agree with CB that generally we should rethink arresting people for pot, but here a 19 year old was probably providing drugs to minors. That should still be a no no.
CB December 04, 2013 at 12:41 PM
tlkensington, I agree with you.

@G.Gerard; if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....funny how u don't hear about drug busts at Hilton or Marriott or even Super 8 across the street. Sometimes a pig is a pig no matter how much perfume you spray on it.

TMC: Right, I am sure there is nothing illegal going on in those other hotels, your a super genius.
CB December 05, 2013 at 07:07 AM
There probably is some validity to the theory of a correlation between cheap hotel rooms and higher crime rates.
Tmc December 05, 2013 at 08:13 AM
@tjc; I'm sure you know all about illegal activity since you like to defend machete brandishing dirtbags who threaten gas station clerks, huh? But since you talk about vigilante shooting people in the "knockout game" forum, I'm not a bit surprised. Single digit IQ much? *facepalm*
tjc360 December 06, 2013 at 02:26 AM
Wow you know your way around the internet, again "Super.... Genius". That machete brandishing dirtbag was someones kid, friend, brother, uncle or father, so just be careful what you say, cause KARMA always catches up to the scumbags who talk $hit, in the end, even the smart ones... and you "is" smart.
CB December 06, 2013 at 07:16 AM
Maybe you could take your spat somewhere else.
tjc360 December 06, 2013 at 10:34 AM
Your so right CB, apologies. Its hard to resist someone so arrogant, I will let nature take its course.
Tmc December 06, 2013 at 09:33 PM
tjc360; I don't need to be careful when I speak of fact. No matter who the person is, if they threaten another human being with a machete at their place of work, they are garbage, PERIOD. Garbage that KARMA found and dealt with permanently. So I can back up what I say; obviously you can't. Genius would never be a word to describe you, so run along now and play "pop a cap" as you so thugishly threaten in another forum; maybe KARMA will reunite you with machete boy.

My neighbor was robbed this week. The scum bags broke in through a window, rummaged through their bedroom and made off with $500 in cash and along with jewelry. Strangely, I don't see anything on the Patch concerning this incident. This is a baffling trend here in Milford. Violent crime is somehow pushed aside in the mad scramble to chase down non-violent, victimless drug "criminals". On our street in the past 3 years, we have had an attempted break-in to a child's bedroom window while the family was sleeping, my property was vandalized 2x, my other neighbor's car was broken into, and now this home invasion. Yet, I always see many MPD cruisers loitering around the Post Road and truck stops, undoubtedly trying to collar those evil "druggies". Someone needs to come along and reset the MPD's priorities, and make them shift attention away from the commercial district and drug vice to the violent crime occurring in our residential streets. People are being robbed, assaulted, burglarized etc. out here, but there is relatively little manpower devoted to policing it. When they busted the family that was growing weed over near Foran, they deployed a helicopter and a tactical SWAT team. How does this juxtaposition of police resource use make any sense??

You have some serious issues, hopefully someone will play the Knock-out game with your face and give you an attitude adjustment angry guy. Karma is knocking on your door scumbag, if you want to make it to 1000 posts, you better not answer it, but you don't get off that seat now do you?

Keep contradicting yourself, nate; all you do is show what a thug you are. Keep it up; you're good at it. Ta!
