Police: Undercover Prostitution Sting Nabs Several Area Men

After answering an online classified ad, the suspects "met with undercover detectives and offered them money in exchange for sexual activities," according to Milford Police.

Milford Police cast a crime net via an online classified ad that ensnared several area men in the department's latest undercover prostitution sting.

According to Milford Police Officer Jeffrey Nielsen, classified advertising websites are frequently used by "prostitution enterprises to conduct illegal activities with their clients."

"Based on these types of activities and complaints received by this department, the Milford Police Department Narcotics & Vice Unit recently conducted an undercover operation to address these issues," Nielsen stated in a press release.

Undercover Operation

And so, Milford Police — along with the assistance of Stratford Police — conducted an undercover operation Feb. 20 targeting prostitution in Milford, which involved a classified ad placed on the internet.

"The arrestees met with undercover detectives and offered them money in exchange for sexual activities," Nielsen stated.
