Milford Police Officers Run For a Great Cause Today

Public encouraged to join them

Milford police officers will join their colleagues around the state by participating in the Special Olympics of Connecticut torch run this afternoon.

And you’re welcome to join the torch run. Milford officers will run on Bridgeport Avenue receiving the torch at the Milford/Stratford town line starting at 2:52 pm and passing the torch at the Milford/Orange town line at 3:44 pm.

In addition, several students from Jonathan Law and Joseph A. Foran High schools will be running with the Officers in a program titled “Run with the Law.”

Several businesses in Milford have shown support for the run through an “Adopt a Mile” program. A special thanks to Colonial Toyota of Milford who has supported the Torch Run for several years with providing a support vehicle for the entire run. All are invited to come out and cheer for the officers and students as they pass by! For complete routes and schedules, visit www.soct.org.
