Milford Police Find Unregistered Loaded Handgun in Car, Suspect Wanted in New Haven

The suspect was held on $1 million bond

A routine motor vehicle stop led to the discovery of a loaded handgun inside a car that was not registered and the suspect is also wanted for several offenses in New Haven, police said in a press release. 

A police officer observed a vehicle on the Boston Post Road with a registration plate improperly displayed and during the vehicle stop police found a loaded handgun that was allegedly not registered or properly permitted by Dwayne Singh, 26, of Clover Street. 

A computer check revealed that Singh has three warrants pending for his arrest in New Haven including for drug offenses, stalking, strangulation, threatening, assault and breach of peace.

He was ordered held in lieu of $1 million bail.
