Milford Police: Do You Recognize This Armed Robber's Voice?

By releasing audio of the suspect's voice recorded during the robbery, investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the male suspect who robbed a Naugatuck Avenue service station last month.

Milford Police are hoping that the release of an image as well as a recording of an armed robbery suspect's voice will help lead to the identification of a man who robbed a Milford gas station last month.

The department is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Friendly Service Station (Gulf) at 313 Naugatuck Avenue in Milford.

According to Milford Public Information Officer Jeffrey Nielsen, the investigation revealed that on Feb. 18, at about 9:35 p.m., a man wearing a black knit face mask entered the station and displayed a black handgun.

"The suspect took money from the cashier and a customer who was waiting in line," Nielsen stated in a press release.

He added that the man fled the area in an older style dark colored hatchback style vehicle, which last seen traveling eastbound on Bridgeport Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black knit face mask, black sunglasses, black gloves and a denim jacket with a cloth lining inside of it.

Nielsen said the :suspect is described as having a very distinct voice."
