Milford Police Blotter: DUI, Sale of Hallucinogenics, Illegal Possession of a Firearm

The following arrest information was provided by the Milford Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Robert Mahoney, 48, of Yale Avenue in Milford, was charged March 20 with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and operating a motor vehicle without a license. According to Milford Police, officers received a complaint regarding a vehicle that drove through a yard on Knob Hill Road. During the investigation, officers found that Mahoney was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Mahoney refused to perform a breathalyzer test, police said. A bond amount of $500 was set and he was scheduled to appear in court March 17.

Ashley Little, 23, of Barclay Street in New Haven, was charged March 20 with sixth-degree larceny, criminal impersonation and interfering with police. According to Milford Police, officers received a complaint regarding a shoplifting incident that occirect at Target. An investigation led to the arrest of Little, who is accused of taking $98.95 worth of merchandise from the story without paying for it. During the investigation, Little provided officers with false information regarding her identity, police said. A bond of $500 was set and she was schedule to appear in court March 15. 

Christopher Lara, 22, of Home Court in Stamford, was charged March 21 with two counts of possession of a hallucinogenic and two counts of sale of a hallucinogenic. According to Milford Police, in January 2013 members of the department's narcotics and vice unite conducted a drug investigation that led to two arrest warrants being issued for Lara, who is accused of selling ecstasy in the Milford area. He was held on a $150,000 bond.

Robert Escobar, 47, of Plains Road in Milford, was charged March 21 with criminal possession of a firearm. According to Milford Police, on Dec. 20, 2013 officers conducted an investigation and discovered that Escobar had firearms in his possession that were not properly registered in the state of Connecticut. An arrest warrant was issued for Escobar regarding the incident, police said. Escobar was held on a $25,000.
