Milford Police Blotter: DUI, Assault with a Firearm, Larceny

The following arrest information was provided by the Milford Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Alec McDonald, 18, of Drexel Road in Milford, was charged March 21 with disorderly conduct. According to police, officers received a complaint regarding a disturbance at a Drexel Road residence, which lead to McDonald's arrest. He was released on a promise to appear in court March 24.

Linda Borer, 57, of Church Street in West Haven and Lori Roberts were charged March 21 with disorderly conduct. According to police, officers received a complaint regarding a disturbance at a Westwood Road residence, which lead to the arrests. Both were released on a promise to appear in court March 24.

Michael LaTrella, 26, of Ancient Highway in Oxford, was charged March 22 with possession of narcotics. According to police, an officer stopped a vehicle on Old Gate Lane for a defective equipment violation. During the stop, the officer found that LaTrella, a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of heroin, which resulted in his arrest. He was released on a promise to appear in court April 15.

Erica Berg, 36, of Short Beach Road in East Haven, was charged March 23 with fourth-degree larceny. According to Milford Police, the department received a complaint from a business regarding an employee theft on Nov. 1, 2013. An investigation led to an arrest warrant benign issued for Berg, who is accused of cashing a check belonging to her employer and depositing the funds into her personal bank account in the amount of $1,600. She was released on a promise to appear in court April 15. 

Matthew Quinn, 30, of Shorefront in Milford, was charged March 22 with driving under the influence, following too closely, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, narcotics not stored in the original container and interfering with police. According to police, officers investigated a motor vehicle accident in the area of Bridgeport and Naugatuck avenues. During the investigation, Quinn fled from his vehicle and was apprehended by officers after a brief physical struggle, police said.Officers located marijuana, related drug paraphernalia and narcotic prescription pills inside the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Quinn had an elevated blood alcohol level at the time of the accident, police said. A warrant was issued for his arrest. A bond amount of $500 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court April 15.

Matthew Scarpa, 36, of Parkway Terrace in Milford was charged with second-degree assault with a firearm, first-degree threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree breach of peace; and Eric Cardella, 46, of Nancy Drive in Ansonia, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. According to police, officers received a complaint regarding a disturbance outside a Parkway Terrace residence involving the two men. Cardella is accused of striking Scarpa in the face and Scarpa is accused of brandishing a firearm and threatening to harm Cardella, police said. They both were released on a promise to appear in court April 15. 

Kimberly Atchley, 28, of Easton Street in West Haven, was charged March 23 with sixth-degree larceny. According to Milford Police, the department received a complaint regarding an employee theft that occurred on Feb. 25 at Sears at 1201 Boston Post Road. An investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Atchley, who is accused of taking a bottle of perfume at the store valued at $49. She was released on a promise to appear in court April 15. 

Katelin Leeman, 26, of Rowe Court in East Haven, was charged March 23 with second-degree larceny. According to Milford Police, the department received a complaint regarding a theft of money from a Victory Drive residence. An investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Leeman, who is accused of taking the money from the home in the fall of 2013. She was released on a promise to appear in court April 15. 

Craig Kramer, 54, of Asbury Ridge in Shelton, was charged March 23 with first-degree criminal trespass. According to police, officers received a complaint of a male trespassing on the property of 1201 Boston Post Road. An investigation led to the arrest of Kramer, who had been previously banned from the property on March 19, police said. He was released on a promise to appear in court April 15. 

Jesse Solar, 22, of Hadley Lane in Glen Mills, Penn., was charged March 24 with driving under the influence, traveling too fast for conditions and failure to drive right. According to police, officers investigated an accident involving an overturned vehicle. During the investigation, officers found Solar was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent his arrest, a breathalyzer test revealed that Solar had an elevated blood alcohol level. A bond amount of $500 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court April 17.
