Milford Police Arrests: Assaulting an Officer, DUI, Drug Possession

The following arrest information was provided by the Milford Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Luis Vazquez, 38, of an uncertain address, was charged Feb. 24 with assault on a police officer, interfering with a police officer, second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespass. According to Milford Police, the department received a complaint involving an unwanted person at Pop's Restaurant. An investigation revealed that restaurant's owner had asked Vazquez to leave several times, which he refused to do, police said. As officers were escorting Vasquez from the restaurant he became combative and struck an officer in the face, police said. He continued to resist arrest, and an officer suffered minor inures during the incident, police said. Vasquez was held on a $25,000 bond. 

Kenneth Domschine, 23, of Maplewood Avenue in Milford, was charged Feb. 22 with driving under the influence and operating a vehicle with excessive muffler noise. According to police, an officer observed a vehicle traveling on North Broad Street making an excessive noise from their muffler. A stop of the vehicle found that Domschine was operating the vehicle under the influence, with a breathalyzer test revealing that he had an elevated blood alcohol level, police said. A bond amount of $500 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court March 20.

James Tardiff, 43, of Edgewood Avenue in Milford, was charged Feb. 22 with disorderly conduct. According to Milford Police, the department received a complaint of a disturbance at an Edgewood Avenue residence. An investigation led to the arrest of Tardiff, who is accused of causing a disturbance with his former spouse, according to police. Tardiff was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 24.

Janesha Rodriguez, 25, was charged Feb. 23 with illegal possession of a prescription drug. She was released on a promise to appear in court March 18. No other information was available at the time of release. 

Robert Murray, 30, of Joyce Court in Milford, was charged Feb. 23 with failure to maintain a proper lane, driving under the influence, driving with no insurance, misuse of a registration plate, operating an unregistrated motor vehicle, possession of marijuana (less than 1/2 ounce) and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to police, an officer observed a vehicle not maintaining the proper lane position on the Boston Post Road. During a stop of the vehicle, police found that Murray was driving while under the influence of alcohol. In addition, police found Murray in possession of marijuana and related drug paraphernalia. A breathalyzer test revealed that Murray had an elevated blood alcohol level, police said. A bond of $500 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court March 20.

Christian Rutter, 30, of Brinsmayd Avenue in Stratford, was charged Feb. 23 with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle under suspension. According to police, an officer observed a motor vehicle traveling on Bridgeport Avenue with the license plate not properly illuminated. During a stop of the vehicle, Rutter was found in possession of crack cocaine and related drug paraphernalia, police said. A computer check found that Rutter's license was suspended. He was released on a promise to appear in court on March 18.
