Milford Police Arrest Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Two Children
Vega, 64, faces charges for the alleged sexual assault of two children that he was a care taker for over a three-year period.
Milford police have arrested a Walnut Street man for the alleged sexual assault of two children left in his care over a three-year period.
Jaime Vega, 64, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday and charged with first-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
Police received a complaint on April 2 for a possible sexual assault involving a 14-year-old male and a 13-year-old female. Investigation led to a warrant being issued for Vega, who is accused of assaulting the two children that he was care taking for between 2009 and 2012, according to a police press release.
Police say that Vega was acquainted with the children and their parents.
Vega was released on a $90,000 bond and due to appear in court on Aug. 12.
