Milford Police Adding Two New K-9's to the Department

The Police Department received an anonymous donation for the new K-9.

The Milford Police Department received an anonymous donation of $7,200 to purchase a new police K-9 and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Police Chief Keith Mello told the Board of Police Commissioners the department will be retiring two police K-9’s after the Oyster Festival in August and have already selected two new officers to attend specific training.

He added it will be necessary to purchase two new dogs at a cost of $7,200 each and at this time the department has been offered a donation for the purchase of one.
