Milford PD Announce New Year's DUI Checkpoint

Local police also encourage residents to report suspected drunk or reckless driving.

The Milford Police Department is announcing it will be conducting a roadside sobriety checkpoint for impaired driving enforcement.

This checkpoint is scheduled to begin on Dec. 31 and end Jan. 1.

The purpose of this checkpoint is to create a visible police presence and focus on operators under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Anyone who observes a vehicle being operated by a person they suspect is driving while under the influence or recklessly is encouraged to call 911 and report the incident to the police.
