A Milford resident is facing child pornography charges — the result of a statewide Connecticut State Police investigation.
According to state police, detectives from the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit, assisted by members of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Sex Offenders Unit, conducted an arrest warrant sweep across the state on Thursday, March 27.
The sweep led to the arrest of 18 individuals, including one local man.
James Brennan,52, of Woodhill Road in Milford, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. A non-surety bond amount of $50,000 was set and he is scheduled to appear in court April 8.
"After several lengthy and thorough investigations, 18 people from across the state were arrested," state police said in a press release.
The Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Investigations Unit is also the command for Connecticut’s Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force.
