Milford Man Charged for Fleeing Cops

A 28-year-old Milford man was arrested early Thursday for allegedly fleeing police on May 28.
Vincent Canavan of Winthrop Court faces charges of interfering with police, operating a vehicle without a license and traveling unreasonably fast.

Police said when they attempted to pull over Canavan’s vehicle for speeding on New Haven Avenue back in May, the Milford man refused to stop his car then fled the area.
The vehicle was later discovered at a Howe Street residence, according to police. Officers suspect Canavan left the car there then fled on foot.

Canavan was held on $5,000 bond and is due in court Oct. 16.
