Milford Man Allegedly Confronted Cop with Knives

Man faces threatening, attempted assault and other charges.

A 41-year-old Milford man this week was arrested for allegedly confronting an officer with "two large knifes" as police responded to a disturbance at the man’s residence.

Richard Olszewski, of 40 Chapel St. Unit 111, was charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with police and attempted assault on a police officer.

Police said they received a complaint of “a male yelling and smashing items” inside the Chapel Street apartment.

An officer knocked on the door and Olszewski answered before pointing the knives at the officer, police said.

The Milford man was held in lieu of $100,000 bond, police said
