Milford Man Accused of Striking A Woman While She Holds An Infant, Police Say

The victim suffered minor injuries but the infant was unharmed.

Milford police say David Weston, 28, of West Main Street, is accused of striking his companion while she was holding an infant child, police said in a press release.

Police said they received a complaint regarding a disturbance at a West Main Street residence Tuesday. Investigation led to the arrest of Weston, who allegedly pushed his companion and restrained her by the neck, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and the child was unharmed, police. The state Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident, police said.

Weston was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation, and risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $10,000 bond.
