Milford Hotel Scene of Prostitution Arrest

A report of suspicious activity in a Milford hotel room led to the arrest April 4 of a man and woman for allegedly engaging in sexual activities in exchange for money. The incident reportedly took place at about 2:30 p.m. that day, at .

Ronald Dolphin, 26, of New Haven, was charged with patronizing a prostitute, while Megan Hill, 25, of Staten Island, NY, was charged with prostitution. Both were released on a promise to appear in court on April 26.

Smashed Mailbox Delivers DUI

A Hamden man was arrested by warrant for an alleged incident of driving under the influence in Milford in January in which he reportedly hit a mailbox and tree.

arrested Floyd Drake, 45, and charged him with DUI at 11:45 a.m. on April 4. The alleged DUI took place on Jan. 21, and resulted in Drake being transported to the hospital for injuries sustained during the accident, police said.

Drake was released on a promise to appear in court on April 26.

Missing Car Leads to Arrest

A Milford resident was arrested by warrant at 8:30 a.m. on April 5 on a charge of third-degree larceny.

Nora Pinto, 39, of Whalley Avenue, allegedly took a relative's vehicle and money from the person's purse on Aug. 25, 2011. A day later Pinto reportedly returned to the residence and informed the relative that she had left the vehicle in another town, police said.

She was held on a $2,500 bond.
