Gas Leak Leads to Early Dismissal at Platt Tech in Milford (updated 1:50 p.m.)
Propane leak discovered behind the school
Fire Capt. Gregory Carman tells Milford Patch that the department responded to a leaking propane tank behind Platt Technical School at 600 Orange Avenue around 8 a.m. Thursday.
The New Haven Register reports students were dismissed from school early.
A faulty valve led to the leak but has since been repaired, the Register reported.
No gas has was detected inside the school, but fire crews monitored the interior, Carman said.
