MFD Save Injured Man From I-95 Car Crash

a hydraulic tool was used to remove the man from his vehicle.


A hydraulic Hurst tool was brought to I-95's Milford connector following a car accident Friday morning. The device was used to remove the door of a vehicle operated by a 53-year-old male.

Milford Fire Department started life support treatment inside the vehicle as crews removed the door and dashed away the patient to Bridgeport Hospital for further care.

From the time the first engine arrived on the scene until the patient was removed was only 13.5 minutes.
