Men Charged for Attempted Milford Bank Robbery

Bridgeport men face multiple charges.

Two Bridgeport men have been charged in connection with Tuesday's attempted armed robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank on Cherry Street in Milford.

Deveral Webley, 32, faces charges of first-degree attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, interfering with police, use of a firearm while committing a Class B felony and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Nathaniel Campbell, 27, was charged with first-degree attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and interfering with police.

Both men were being held in lieu of $500,000 bond before their arraignments in Milford Superior Court.

Police said the attempted robbery was foiled when the suspects couldn't open the locked cash drawers. The men were taken into custody in Stratford. Click here to read the full report.
