Increased Milford Police Patrols Lead to No Vandalized Cars Last Night

The stepped up police patrols seems to have worked for at least one night. 

One night after 15 cars were either broken into or vandalized all was quiet in the city of Milford, said Jeffrey Nielsen, who is the Police Department spokesman. 

Nielsen told Milford Patch that on Sunday night into early Monday morning that nine of the 15 cars were broken into, six of the 15 vehicles were victimized by arson and four cars were completely burned. 

Nielsen said some of the cars were parked in the street, but others were also parked in the driveway. Police are hopeful that someone saw something, which can help police make an arrest. 

“We want to raise awareness about the importance of people locking their car doors and to call us if they see anything suspicious,” Nielsen said. 

He said police patrols were stepped up throughout the city last night.
