Flood Advisories, Warning In Effect This Afternoon in CT

Weather is much better this weekend

The National Weather Service has issued flood advisories for Fairfield County through 1:45 p.m., 2:15 p.m. for Hartford County and 3:30 p.m. for Litchfield County. 

A flash flooding warning is in effect for New Haven County through Friday afternoon, the weather service reports. There are only 125 power outages statewide as of 2 p.m. 

In New Haven heavy rains forced Interstate 95 to be closed near Exit 45 and 46 in New Haven, WFSB 3 TV reports. Also water was knee-high in some sections of New Haven, and flooding was reported in Fairfield, Bridgeport, and Milford, WFSB reports.
