A 48-year-old Stamford man was charged with disorderly conduct Friday afternoon after a complaint of a disturbance between a couple at a Milford motel, police said.
The man, identified a Darrin Reed, was charged 4 p.m. Friday at the Devon Motel at 438 Bridgeport Ave. after an investigation, according to police. Reed is accused of "engaging in a physical confrontation with a companion" at the motel, police said.
He was released on a promise to appear in court, according to police.
Driving under the influence
A 41-year-old Milford woman was charged with driving under the influence early Saturday morning after she was stopped for allegedly driving a vehicle without the headlights on, police said.
The woman, identified as Janet Rindos-Prokop of 43 Bertrose Ave., was spotted nearly 1 a.m. Saturday on Bridgeport Avenue near Seaside Avenue, according to police.
After her arrest, an Intoxilyzer test revealed that Rindos-Prokop had an elevated blood-alcohol level, police said in a press release.
Rindos-Prokop was charged with failure to have headlamps illuminated and DUI, police said. She was held in lieu of $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 5, according to police.
A Milford couple was busted Saturday morning at their New Haven Avenue home after a dispute in which the man allegedly threatened to harm the woman and the woman allegedly pushed the man, police said.
The man, identified as Bruce Dantzler, 57, was charged with second-degree threatening, according to police. The woman, identified as Georgann Quigley, 54, was charged with disorderly conduct, according to police.
"Investigation led to the arrest of Dantzler who is accused of threatening to harm his companion," police said in a release. "Quigley was also arrested and accused of pushing Dantzler during the incident."
He was held in lieu of $500 bond and she was released on a promise to appear in court pending a court appearance, police said.
A 21-year-old Milford man was busted on drug charges early Sunday morning after an officer spotted a suspicious vehicle on Wilcox Road, police said.
The man, identified as Timothy Degennaro of 53 Settlers Ridge Road, was charged at 1:15 a.m. with posssession of marijuana (less than a half ounce), possession of drug paraphernalia, and narcotic medication (five prescription pills) not stored in original container, according to police.
He was released on a promise to appear in court Jan. 3, police said.
Driving under the influence
A 23-year-old Shelton man was busted for allegedly driving while intoxicated after an accident in Milford late Sunday night, police said.
The man, identified as Jason Riddle, was busted after the accident occurred on Oronoque Road at Acorn Lane, according to police.
"During the investigation, police found that Riddle was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol," police said in a press release. "Subsequent (to) his arrest, an Intoxilyzer test revealed that Riddle had an elevated blood alcohol level."
Riddle was held in lieu of $500 bond pending a court appearance, police said.
