Driver Gets 20 Months for Fatal Crash in Milford

Vicky Kloc hit a man in Milford with her car in October 2010. He later died from his injuries.

Vicky Kloc of Trumbull has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison after hitting a man with her car in October 2010 in Milford.

Kloc was sentenced March 4 to five years in prison, suspended after 20 months, followed by three years of probation, according to the state's Judicial Branch website.

She hit 44-year-old Kevin Burhance, who was walking across Bridgeport Avenue, on Oct. 3 near the Bridgeport Flyer Diner, police said. Burhance — a husband and father of nine from Kansas City, Kansas — was in critical condition that night, but succumbed to his injuries two days later, police said.

An initial investigation led cops to immediately charge Kloc with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, police said.

Milford police continued the probe, which resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for Kloc on the charge of manslaughter with a motor vehicle in the second degree, police said.

The crash came about a year after she was found guilty in 2009 in Derby Superior Court of driving with suspended license, according to the Judicial Branch Website. She was sentenced to a suspended term of 90 days in jail and one year of conditional discharge.

I don't mind more pizza if its good pizza. There are plenty of horrible and so-so pizza places inRead More Milford. Currently 314 B-port Ave is a boarded up building with a parking lot where cops love to sit. Either this will prevent cops from sitting their or will cause them to sit there more. Also ladies, Milford is known for its P's: pizza, porn, package, and pawn.

I second Christina! Is no one listening? we are up to our ears in pizza! Im pretty sure we have moreRead More pizza in milford than new haven! Where is this trailer going to park at the devon market!? the traffic the market creates is bad enough for people that live in that area without a mobile oven rolling on in! I hope they have thought of that issue at the very least!
