Counterfeit Bills Used at Motel in Milford [CORRECTED]

Arrest information provided by the Milford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hamden woman was arrested at 345 Old Gate Lane for allegedly renting a motel room and paying with a $10 and two $20 bills which were determined to be counterfeit.

Milford Police also located additional counterfeit currency inside a vehicle that was occupied by Nicole Melendez, age 30 of Hamden, and her male acquaintance.

Melendez was charged with first degree forgery and first degree conspiracy to commit forgery.

She was released on a promise to appear in court on December 11th.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly noted the motel as being the Milford Inn.
