Stamford Police made an arrest this week relating to an incident in which a man resolved a dispute by firing a gun into the ceiling of a restaurant vestibule. The man charged with the alleged crime was in possession of a pistol permit and several guns.

In a crime that would probably only happen in winter, Norwalk police charged a man in an assault incident for allegedly attacking the victim with an ice scraper. The homeless suspect allegedly had an ice scraped covered in the victims blood in his possession at the time of his arrest.

A woman was reportedly struck by a truck as it drove through a drive-thru ATM in Fairfield. According to police, the woman had waited for the truck to move (it was blocking the entrance to the ATM) before she decided to get out of her car and walk up to the window.

A man arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in Fairfield reportedly told that it was bad pizza -- not alcohol -- that caused his poor driving.

During the New Canaan-Darien high schools annual "Turkey Bowl" football game on Thanksgiving in Darien, someone went into the New Canaan locker room andurinated on the team's equipment. A backpack containing $20 also was reported stolen. Then on New Year's Eve, Darien police announced they'd arrested five former Darien High School students, charging them with the crimes. Two turned out to be the sons of the former first selectwoman and her husband, the present Democratic town chairman.

A woman who used to live in Redding was arrested three times in three daysfollowing a domestic struggle with her boyfriend where he had to wrestle a loaded gun away from her. She then subsequently violated two protective orders issued by Redding Police to not show up on his property.
