Cops: Stop & Shop Getaway Driver Arrested

The alleged driver who helped a May 8th Bridgeport Ave. Milford Stop & Shop thief has been arrested.

 

A Bridgeport man is accused of helping a shoplifter flee the scene of Stop & Shop by driving the vehicle the shoplifter fled in.

The arrest occurred on September 23rd at 9:00 p.m. in relation to a May 8th larceny investigation regarding the 855 Bridgeport Avenue business, according to Milford Police.

The accused man, Maximino Villafane, age 59 of Bridgeport, was charged with fifth degree criminal attempted larceny.

His bond was set at $500 with a court date of October 2nd.
