Cops: Milford Man Collected on Burglary That Didn't Happen
Milford Point Road man faces insurance fraud and larceny charges.

A Milford man was arrested Sunday on charges he falsely reported a burglary at his residence and collected on fraudulent claims he submitted for purported stolen property.
Christopher Platt, 34, was charged with two counts of insurance fraud, third-degree larceny, criminal attempt to commit third-degree larceny and second-degree falsely reporting an incident.

Police said Platt reported a burglary at his Milford Point Road home on May 1, 2013.
Platt was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 22.
