Cops: Erratic Driver Hit Pedestrian at Milford Motel

A Greenwich man is accused of striking a person with his car in the parking lot of the Mayflower Motel Milford, police said.

Gregory Sroka, 41, was traveling “at a high rate of speed” when he hit the pedestrian and caused other adults and children to dodge the car, police said.

The alleged incident happened Sunday, July 7 at about 7:30 p.m.

The Greenwich man was charged with reckless endangerment, risk of injury, reckless driving, evading responsibility and no insurance. He was held in lieu of $25,000 bond.

Sroka’s arrest happened only hours after a Madison woman was collared for prostitution down the road at the Pilot Travel Center.

Police did not indicate the two were related.
