Cops: DUI Suspect Had Swords, Machete in Car
New Haven man nabbed in Milford on Old Gate Lane.

A New Haven man arrested for alleged drunk driving in Milford early Thursday was found to have two swords and a machete inside his vehicle, police said.
Willie Brooks, 49, was charged with DUI, weapons in a motor vehicle and disobeying an officer’s signal.

Police said Brooks was observed around 2:30 a.m. traveling outside the lines on Old Gate Lane. Subsequent to his arrest, Brooks refused to perform a breathalyzer test, police said.
The New Haven man was held in lieu of $1,000 bond.
