Car Crashes Into Archie Moore's Deck

No one was injured in the incident.

Update as of 5:09 p.m. on Sept. 21

Archie Moore's will be open for business tonight.

Archie's General Manager Dave Canel spoke about the incident with Milford Patch.

"The deck was full when it hit," Canel said referring to when the accident occurred, adding that there were "no injuries, no one hurt at all."

Archie Moore's is building a temporary wall to keep patrons off of the damaged area.

Update as of 3:10 p.m. on Sept. 21

A 10-foot section of the lower deck at Archie Moore's in Milford will be closed until repairs are made. The remainder of the deck will be open.

An employee said they expect a large crowd tonight as the weather is nice and colder days will soon be arriving.

Meanwhile, police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

The original report follows:

Witnesses on scene are reporting that the driver of a Shelby Cobra lost control of his car and crashed into the deck of Archie Moore's in Milford.

There is no word from Milford Police or Fire Department as to the status of the driver, or if there were any passengers in the car.

We will bring you more information as it becomes available.

.....how?

FYI it's a kit car and not a true Shelby. Guy was probably trying to showoff in order to get his car planted up on the curb so well. My guess is he was pulling out of Archie's or coming down the street and lost control during one of his "moves" and killed the car in the process. Hat tip to the loser for buying such a piece of machinery and not spending a little extra to learn how to drive it properly.

To C, How did you come up with the assumption that it was a "kit car"? I saw the car in person and didn't see any splintered fiberglass which, 99% of "kit cars" are made from... All I saw was twisted metal body panels. Let's only pray this wasn't an original!!!

It's really heartwarming to see the outpouring of concern for the car.

Yes. I agree. What about the deck? And was the 'chicken wing fryer' hurt? [By the way @jungis4545. No one was hurt.]

Oh, the humanity!

Unless you've owned one, even with driving lessons, you'd be suprised how easy it is to loose control of a Cobra. By anyone...

Sorry, I have no sympathy with this one..
