The Associated Press reports that Luis A. Rodriguez pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree manslaughter in the killing of Kelsey Monahan.

Milford police said Monahan was discovered hog-tied and unresponsive in her Shorefront Street home on May 25, 2001. She died three days later at Bridgeport Hospital, according to the AP.

After bringing charges against the 53-year-old Rodriguez in 2011, Milford police said the cause of death was determined to be homicide by strangulation.
