Woodbridge police continue to investigate the cause of an accident that sent two people to the hospital Thursday night.
Meanwhile, one victim, a 21-year-old Milford resident who police identified as Michael Mingrone, is listed in critical condition today, according to a Yale-New Haven Hospital spokesman reached for comment at 1:15 p.m.
The two-vehicle accident took place just after 4 p.m. on March 7, as a winter storm began to drop precipitation. Both vehicles collided at the intersection of North Pease Road and Center Road, according to a report provided by the Woodbridge Police Department.
Mingrone, who had to be extricated by the Woodbridge Fire Department, was operating a 2005 Toyota southbound on North Pease Road, police said.
The other operator, Koren Torre, 31, of Watertown, was operating a 2007 Hyundai west on Center Road, according to the report.
Police said both operators were transported by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment. Yale-New Haven said they had no record of a patient by the name of Koren Torre.
