What's going on with the Pond Point sale of "The Woods"?

All up and down Pond Point Ave are signs saying "Save the Woods", and there is a notice on a small wooded area "Application for Permit", that I guess it refers to. Does anyone want to comment and fill in a little history on the Woods, and who the present owner/proposed usage will be? Thanks.
