Fast food chain Burger King offers home delivery in several countries and now is testing the service in the United States at a few restaurants in the Washington, DC area with plans to expand the program to more locations over the next few weeks.
BK has developed a new "thermal packaging technology" that, according to their chief branding and operations officer, will ensure food is delivered "hot and fresh" and will even keep your fries crispy. Delivery is offered anywhere within a 10-minute drive radius for an $8-10 minimum order -- and a $2 delivery fee.
McDonald's, offering home delivery in 15 countries including China, currently has a business-only delivery service at some of their Manhattan restaurants.
