No Platform Peter

We are two months away from Election Day and Mr. Spalthoff has yet to release a single part of his campaign platform. It must be nice to run against all of Mayor Blake’s accomplishments by saying you would have done things differently. If only running a city were as easy as saying “I will do it better than the other guy.” But running city is hard work, and only one candidate in this race has demonstrated that he is up to the task. Mayor Blake has proven his ability to lead our city and continue to make Milford a better place. However, all we get from Mr. Spalthoff is vague political rhetoric and shameless self-promotion.

The Spalthoff candidacy of 2013 will be much like the failed Spalthoff candidacy of 2009 – filled with empty promises and little substance.

Mayor Blake’s record of fiscal responsibility and strong leadership has been paramount during his first term as mayor. He has done a great job leading the city, and I’m proud to support him in his re-election bid for another term.
